Saturday, February 8, 2020, at the Seminar Room of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Ganesha Education University, the semi-final and final activities of the Geosphere Competition Olympiad were held by HMJ Geography, Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Ganesha Education University with the theme “Explore Your Mind, Explore The Earth”. The activity was carried out in three stages, namely the preliminary round on Sunday, February 2 2020 with a total of 282 participants in 12 Rayon including Undiksha, West Buleleng, Jembrana, Tabanan, Gianyar, Badung, Denpasar, Klungkung, Karangasem, Banyuangi, Malang, NTB. This activity aims to train high school/MA students throughout Java, Bali, and NTB to compete, especially in the fields of Geography and Earth. The Geosphere Competition Olympic activities were opened by the Head of the Geography Department, I Gede Yudi Wisnawa S.Pd., M.Sc., and continued with reading the rules and regulations for Olympic participants. After reading the rules, all participants were directed to their respective classrooms to carry out the semi-finals with a duration of 90 minutes for answering written test questions. After carrying out the semi-finals, it continued with checking the test results, taking a break, and announcing the top 10. The results of the announcement of the top 10 list in Geography and Earth are as follows:

Participants who qualify for the final are directed again by the committee to the lab room to carry out written and practical tests with a duration of 1 hour. After the final, it continues with checking the test results, prayer breaks for the Muslim religion, and entertainment with a duration of 1 hour 30 minutes. Next, the main event is the announcement of the winners and the presentation of medals to each winner. The results of the 2020 Geosphere Competition Olympic winners are as follows:

The certificate and medal were handed over directly by the Head of the Geography Department, I Gede Yudi Wisnawa S.Pd., M.Sc., and Geography Department Student Advisor A. Sediyo Adi Nugraha S.Sc., M.Sc. and continued with a joint photo session. This activity was officially closed by the Head of the Geography Department.
