Friday, October 8, 2021, at the Seminar Room of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Ganesha Education University, an offline workshop was held while still implementing health protocols with the theme “Faculty Quality Assurance in Implementing the Independent Campus Learning Policy”. This activity was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, namely Prof. Sukadi, M.Pd., M Ed. and this workshop was guided by Mr. Dr. I Nengah Suastika, S.Pd., M.Pd who is Deputy Dean I FHIS Udiksha.
This workshop invited two speakers, namely Drs. Gede Suyasa, M.Pd as Regional Secretary of Buleleng Regency, and Prof. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd. is an academic who currently serves as Deputy Chancellor II of Undiksha. This activity was attended by representatives of lecturers, students, and alumni of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences whose numbers were following the health protocols.
Gede Suyasa in the workshop conveyed the definition of an independent campus, namely where the campus can manage campus well, one of which is that the campus is BLU and free to learn, meaning students can choose what they want to study while still following the rules that have been made. It was also conveyed that success does not have to be linear with education, being said to be successful can provide benefits for many people. Gede Suyasa also emphasized that implementing independent learning on independent campuses must be based on the laws that have been established so that the freedom of independent learning on independent campuses is not misused. On this occasion also Prof. Lasmawan said that the campus must be competent but still run the corridors that have been determined. You must have the courage to look for weaknesses to be able to find solutions so that you can improve the quality of the faculty. One of the keys is improving human resources. By improving human resources, it is hoped that they will be able to carry out well in an independent, independent learning campus.
At the end of this workshop activity, it was closed by handing over mementos by the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences to the two resource persons who had provided the material.
