Tuesday, August 8 2023 at the Pinggan Village Office, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency, Socialization and Camping Tourism Management Training activities were carried out which is a series of Student Organization Capacity Strengthening (PKK ORMAWA) programs. This activity was organized by the Student Representative Council of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Ganesha Education University in collaboration with Pinggan Village KKN students, Ganesha Education University.
This Camping Tourism Management Socialization and Training Activity was opened by the Head of Pinggan Village, I Ketut Janji. In his speech, he warmly welcomed the students who are the nation’s next generation carrying out community service. He also advised that apart from creating innovations to advance and solve problems in society, the younger generation is expected to never forget the identity of their country and even their own region. This is because some of the younger generation today cannot communicate in their own regional languages. Apart from that, he hopes that the enthusiasm of young people will never wane as time goes by to advance the nation and preserve regional culture.
This activity was attended by the people of Pinggan Village as participants in socialization and training, especially those who are interested in starting a camping tourism business as well as business actors who already have camping businesses in Pinggan Village.
After the opening session of the event, it continued with the main event, namely the presentation of material by resource persons who were students from Ganesha Education University on behalf of I Made Deni Dwi Nuarthawan. In presenting the material, the resource person said that in managing camping tourism there needs to be thorough preparation, both in terms of costs, thought, and energy. Camping tourism businesses are required to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of their tourist attractions. For example, Pinggan Village is famous for having beautiful natural views, people can see the sunrise or sunset views of Mount Batur. So the advantages that Pinggan Village has can be a promising advantage. Then, the deficiency that is still the main problem in building or maintaining camping tourist attractions is that management is not properly prepared, either through management by individuals or through groups, one example of which is the Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS). During the presentation of the material and in the question and answer session, the people of Pinggan Village actively participated with the resource persons until the end of the event.
This socialization activity was closed by the moderator who did not forget to convey the conclusions of the material presented by the resource person as well as the results of the question and answer session between the resource person and the Pinggan Village community. The event closed with a group photo session.
