OPERATION The special military action that Russia is carrying out in Ukraine is really happening and this has been confirmed by Russian President Vladimir Putin who has issued a statement and authorized military operations under the pretext of guarding borders and protecting his allies from his enemies.
With the implementation of this military operation, the Ukrainian government immediately implemented military emergency status in its country and appealed to all its citizens not to leave the house and remain calm.
What the Russian government is doing is to provide protection for people in the territories of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) which for the past 8 years have experienced acts of violence and genocide from the Kiev regime.
We know that the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) have had their independence recognized by Russia and this is seen by the international community as a very good way to pose a threat to Ukraine and of course this causes the situation in the capital city of Kyiv to become heated.
We see that diplomatic relations between the two countries are not harmonious, especially since Russian President Vladimir Putin recognized the two breakaway regions of Eastern Ukraine as independent regions. With this incident, the Russian government immediately sent troops to the border under the pretext of carrying out peacekeeping operations in the region and preventing a prolonged crisis that could trigger conflict between citizens on the border.
After the two regions received support from Russia and the Russian Government declared that the region had been controlled by separatists and in such conditions the Russian President opened the way to sending his troops there on the grounds that the Russian Government was intervening as an ally to protect its citizens from Ukrainian troops. With this incident, pursuing the path of peace through diplomatic negotiations will likely be difficult to achieve.
If you quote the opinion Dr. Robert Farley, a lecturer in security and diplomacy studies at The Patterson School in the United States, said that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine could be the beginning of World War III (World War 3).
However, it is too early to say this, if it really happens, it means that we and the international world have not learned from the impact of World War I and World War II, which caused a lot of suffering that we can still feel today and which still remains. wounds that have not yet healed.
With the launch of a special military operation carried out by Russia against Ukraine, of course, this is very unfortunate whatever the reason. If Russia states that genocide occurred in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, of course, this needs to be proven under international law that genocide occurred there and from there we can take a stance on what happened in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
Don’t let the incident happen again when America often invaded Iraq on the grounds that it had weapons of mass destruction in Saddam Husain’s regime, but until now this has not been proven.
World leaders called on both countries to refrain from war, as delivered by President Joko Widodo, speaking out against the conflict that has hit Russia and Ukraine, the crisis that exists must be handled immediately and must be carefully handled in order to avoid human disasters and similar matters. delivered by the Secretary General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres who called to pay attention to innocent humanity and prevent a major disaster for humanity from happening again. Of course, we hope that there will be no casualties and that peace becomes an option for both countries until world order and world peace are realized.*
