Singaraja- Department of Law and Citizenship, Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Ganesha Education University (Undiksha), Singaraja was visited by students of the Pancasila and Citizenship Education Study Program (PPKn) Buana Perjuangan University (UBP), West Java, Tuesday (10/12/2019).
The visit was received directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Sukadi, M.Pd., M.Ed,. He stated that he was very open if anyone was interested in learning about Pancasila and Citizenship Education which was linked to Balinese culture. “We are very open to sharing information, especially that which is directly related to science here,” he explained.
The visit included the delivery of social and cultural introduction material from student representatives from both parties guided by the moderator, Ni Kadek Satyam Krisna Parijata. The first material was delivered by the student representative of the Undiksha PPKn Study Program, namely I Putu Indra Artha Antara, regarding Pancasila as the philosophy of life of the Indonesian people which has the same principles as the philosophy in Bali, namely Tri Hita Karana. A philosophy that invites people to establish good relationships with God, each other, and the environment. The presentation of the next material was continued by the Undiksha PPKn Study Program student representative, Gusti Made Suhartana, regarding the culture, arts, and natural charm of Bali. Wealth is a special attraction that must be proud of and preserved. “Many people don’t know the differences between each of the arts in Bali, where they are almost the same but not the same,” he said.
The next material was filled by student representatives of the UBP PPKn Study Program, namely Widi Asamelia related to Profile, Buana Perjuangan University is located in Karawang, including the West Java area. The West Java regional motto is neat crumbs which comes from Sundanese which means fertile, prosperous, and peaceful, sufficient clothing and food, and peaceful, harmonious, and safe. The changes every year in which Karawang becomes one of the most populous cities in West Java have quite an impact on its social culture, where industrial areas are dominant.
The final material was delivered by the UPB PPKn Study Program student representative, namely Dodi Ahmad Badewi regarding the demographics of Karawang City, which borders Cikarang City and Bekasi Regency to the west, Rengasdengklok and Rawamerta to the north. Infrastructure development in West Java has facilitated and made it easier for people to carry out activities, one of which is public rail transportation which the government continues to work on.
Next, a discussion session was held regarding how Bali can generate selling points for tourists interested in Bali, which was immediately responded to by the two resource persons from Undiksha Civics Study Program student representatives. Bali, with all its cultural beauty and natural charm, provides its selling points for everyone. Supporting comfortable facilities and proper management can provide selling points for Bali. At the end of this comparative study event, there was a group photo session a short closing presentation, and then a meal together. (rls)
