Singaraja – Department of History, Sociology and Library FHIS Ganesha Education University received a visit from the History Education Study Program FKIP Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta on Thursday (8/6). This visit was in the context of Field Work Lecture (KKL) activities from the History Education Study Program, FKIP, Yogyakarta PGRI University. This KKL activity was also accompanied by the signing of a collaboration document between FHIS Ganesha Education University and FKIP PGRI University Yogyakarta. This visit was welcomed by Ketut Sedana Arta, S.Pd., M.Pd. as Head of the History, Sociology, and Library Department of FHIS Undiksha. Apart from that, from PGRI Yogyakarta University, Dr. Darsono, M.Pd who is the Dean of FKIP Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta also gave his speech.
The public lecture activity was opened by Deputy Dean II of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Ganesha Education University, Prof. Dr. I Made Pageh, M.Hum representing the Dean of FHIS Undiksha. In his speech, he welcomed the visit from Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta, “where we can see that Singaraja and Yogyakarta are both cities of education so that we can share their connections, especially in the field of History.” This public lecture was also attended by Deputy Dean III FHIS Undiksha, I Putu Ananda Citra, S.Pd. M.Sc., Head of Department at the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences and lecturer from the Department of History, Sociology and Library FHIS Undiksha.
The public lecture held at the FHIS Seminar Building, Ganesha Education University also took place in a hybrid manner accompanied by moderator I Putu Hendra Mas Martayana, S.Pd., M.A who is one of the lecturers from the History, Sociology and Library Department of FHIS Undiksha. The resource person in this public lecture activity was Dr. M. Iqbal Birsyada, M.Pd. from PGRI University Yogyakarta, and Prof. Dr. Luh Putu Sendratari, M. Hum. He is a lecturer in the Sociology Education Study Program, Department of History, Sociology and Libraries. This public lecture took the theme, “Dynamics of Education in Indonesia (Comparative Study in Singaraja and Yogyakarta)”. During the presentation of the material, the resource person explained the beginning of the history of education in Yogjakarta and Singaraja, thereby inviting communicative discussions between participants and the resource person. Students from FKIP Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta and students from the Department of History, Sociology, and Library FHIS Undiksha were presented as public lecture participants.
After the Public Lecture was over, the activity continued with the signing of a Cooperation Agreement between FHIS Ganesha Education University and FKIP PGRI University Yogyakarta. By signing the cooperation document, the two faculty leaders from each university hope that they can continue to collaborate and can always share information in relation to the field of educational science. The series of activities closed with the presentation of certificates of appreciation to resource persons and moderators as a sign of appreciation for sharing knowledge with all participants.
