Singaraja– Towards the end of 2021, students from the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) made another proud achievement. This time it comes from the International Innovation & Invention Competition (I3C) Malaysia. In the event which started from September to October and the winners were announced on November 27, 2021, the Undiksha team consisted of Kadek Yuda Wiryanatha from the Electrical Engineering Education study program, Putu Pipit Pricellia Eka Putri from the Law Science study program, Ni Made Sania Indri Wahyuni from the Language Education Study Program England, Ni Luh Gede Shinta Yudharini from the Mathematics Education Study Program, and Ni Putu Ayu Yuli Sumadianti from the Undergraduate Accounting Study Program won bronze medals in the engineering & physics category.
At this international event, the team led by Kadek Yuda Wiryanatha displayed the work RECALL (Remote Electrical Control). This tool can control electrical equipment using the provided remote. This 5th-semester student explained that the idea for creating this innovation was born based on his observations regarding the habit of turning on electricity manually. “With this tool, all electrical equipment can be activated or deactivated using the available remote. “This also overcomes the use of excessive materials so that we can save costs,” he explained, Thursday (2/12/2021).
It was further stated that this tool can be used for all types of electrical equipment. This achievement certainly cannot be separated from the role of supervisor Dr. Nyoman Santiyadnya, S.Si., M.T., in preparation for approximately two months. “Preparation starts from the materials and choosing what topic will be contested. “Of course, with guidance from the supervisor and all leaders at Undiksha, we can achieve this achievement,” he said. This achievement was welcomed with gratitude by the team, as well as motivation to continue to excel and increase experience and insight. “This competition can also motivate me personally to continue being creative, it can increase my self-confidence,” he added.
Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs, Alumni and Public Relations Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd., expressed his appreciation for this achievement because it supports Undiksha’s ranking, especially in the field of student affairs at the national level. “We appreciate the students’ struggle for Undiksha. Hopefully, it will get better in the future many more students will achieve achievements. “This achievement is also important to increase student competitiveness,” he concluded. (hms)
