SINGARAJA – 22 October 2023 | In diversity activity 5, students get a unique opportunity to explore and understand the interesting burial traditions of Trunyan Village, Bali. The Nusantara Module lecturer is Prof. Dewa Gede Sudika Mangku, S.H., LL.M., accompanied by an experienced tour guide, who guides students on an in-depth educational adventure, explaining all aspects related to the burial traditions of Trunyan Village.
Trunyan Village is known for its burial traditions which are different from most other places. Our students are given in-depth insight into the history, culture, and unique procedures surrounding burial methods in Trunyan Village. They are also allowed to ask questions and share opinions, creating an interactive environment and encouraging a deeper understanding of the tradition.
This visit ended with a learning recap session guided by the lecturer. This session serves to summarize the knowledge that students have gained during this trip. This also allowed them to share views and insights, regarding how this trip has influenced their understanding of Balinese culture and spirituality, especially in the unique context of Trunyan Village. This opportunity helps students understand more deeply the cultural diversity and values inherent in the burial traditions of Trunyan Village.
