SINGARAJA – 11 November 2023 | In diversity activity 8, Indonesian module students were given a unique opportunity to explore and understand life in Penglipuran Village, a traditional village located in Bali. Archipelago Module Lecturer Prof. Dr. Dewa Gede Sudika Mangku, S.H., LL.M., together with a tour guide guided students on an immersive adventure, allowing them to immerse themselves in the unique culture and life of this village.
During this visit, our students had the opportunity to walk and explore Penglipuran Village. This activity also involved the Penglipuran Village POKDARWIS (Tourism Awareness Group), which are practitioners who are directly involved in the development of the Penglipuran tourist village. In interactions between students and resource persons, lecturers facilitate discussions about various aspects related to the stakeholders of this village, especially the youth of Penglipuran Village.
This visit ended with a learning recap session led by the lecturer. This session serves to summarize the knowledge that students have gained during this journey. This opportunity provides a deeper understanding of life in Penglipuran Village and reveals the cultural values, local wisdom, and challenges involved in developing a tourist village like Penglipuran.
