Singaraja – On Monday (22/5), the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Ganesha Education University received a Field Work Lecture (KKL) visit from students of the 2020 Geography Education Study Program (S1) Faculty of Social Sciences Education, Indonesian Education University at the Undiksha FHIS Seminar Building. This KKL visit is a stage 3 visit for students of the FPIPS Geography Education Study Program at the Indonesian University of Education. The KKL visit this time was also accompanied by a Joint National Seminar between students from the FPIPS Geography Education Study Program at the Indonesian Education University and students from the FHIS Geography Education Study Program at the Ganesha Education University.
This visit was received directly by the Dean of FHIS Undiksha, Prof. Dr. Sukadi, M.Pd., M.Ed. He warmly welcomed and expressed his gratitude for the visit from the Indonesian University of Education. In his speech, Prof. Sukadi briefly introduced the Undiksha Faculty of Law and Social Sciences. Apart from that, he is Prof. Sukadi expressed his hope that this National Seminar activity would provide useful learning not only for students but also for lecturers from the two universities. From FPIPS UPI University, Dr. rer. Nat. Nandi, S.Pd., M.T., M.Sc. He also had the opportunity to express his gratitude on behalf of the Indonesian University of Education for the welcome from Undiksha. This activity was also attended by Deputy Dean III FHIS Undiksha, I Putu Ananda Citra, S.Pd., M.Sc., Head of the Geography Department, I Gede Yudi Wisnawa, S.Pd., M.Sc. as well as lecturers from the Geography Department, FHIS Undiksha.
This national seminar took the theme, “Implementation of the Independent Curriculum after the Covid-19 Pandemic in Geography Learning”. The seminar participants consisted of 97 students from the Indonesian University of Education and Semester 2 students from the Undiksha Geography Education Study Program. The resource person for this seminar was attended by lecturers from FHIS Undiksha, namely Prof. Dr. I Gede Astra Wesnawa, M.Si., and Prof. Dr. Epon Ningrum, M.Pd. who is one of the lecturers from the Indonesian University of Education. These two speakers provided a clear explanation of how to implement the Independent Curriculum after the COVID-19 pandemic. Apart from that, students are also expected to be able to follow global trends that are developing related to learning after the end of the Covid-19 Pandemic and students are expected to be able to understand technical details, not just master theory. During the presentation of the material, the resource person was accompanied by a moderator, namely I Made Sarmita, S.Pd., M.Sc. who is one of the lecturers from the Geography Department, FHIS Undiksha. The presentation of the national seminar material by the two speakers was very interesting for the participants because the students as participants also participated in asking questions in the discussion session.
This joint visit and national seminar event ended with a group photo and the handing over of certificates given directly by the Head of the Geography Department, FHIS Undiksha, to resource persons who had the opportunity to attend and impart their knowledge to students from these two universities.
