The Indonesian Public Procurement Institute (IPPI), the Indonesian Dispute Council (DSI) and the Indonesian Dispute Council Foundation again held Batch Mediation Training via Zoom Meeting in collaboration with the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences. This was conveyed directly by the President of the Indonesian Dispute Council (DSI) Prof. Sabela Gayo, S.H., M.H., Ph.D., CPL., CPCLE., CPM., CPrM., CP., ACIArb. This mediation training will be held from 7 February 2024 to 11 February 2024.
In this 93rd Batch of Mediation Training, the FHIS Law Study Study Lecturer who had the opportunity to take part in this mediation training was Si Ngurah Ardhya, S.H., S.H., Dr. Ni Ketut Sari Adnyani, S.H., M.Pd., I Dewa Gede Herman Yudiana, S.H., M.H., Dr. Made Sugi Hartono, S.H., M.H. and M. Jodi Setianto, S.H., M.H.
The training was held to improve the quality of professional human resources as a Non-Judge Mediator. In the opening welcome session, Prof. Sabela Gayo, S.H., M.H., Ph.D., CPL., CPCLE., CPM., CPrM., CP., ACIArb., (President of the Indonesian Dispute Council) said that currently DSI and IPPI have 2,505 Mediator. 75 percent of them have been accepted as Non-Judge Mediators in District/Religious Courts throughout Indonesia and received awards from local court chiefs for successfully mediating between disputing parties in achieving peace. His party has also developed Sectoral Mediation training which covers various sectors of community life starting from Mediation Training in Health, Villages, Agrarian Affairs, Banking, Insurance, Intellectual Property, Property, Business, Restorative Justice, Economics, Sharia Banking and Foreign Affairs.
The participants’ output received a certificate of expertise as a Non-Judge Professional Mediator with the title CPM (Certificate Professional Mediator) which is recognized by DSI and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia. And it is valid for life, and can also be registered with the District or Religious Court to handle dispute cases outside of court if the participant passes and is declared competent. The certificate is also taken into account in the academic world and the world of work because of its effectiveness and efficiency, especially since today’s society prefers to resolve disputes through out-of-court mediation and this certificate can support the FHIS IKU in 2024 and the following years.
