THE PEOPLE OF BALI, Yogyakarta – Students from the Legal Studies Program at Ganesha Education University in implementing the KKL (Field Work Lecture) Program visited the Faculty of Law (FH) at Gajah Mada University (UGM), Yogyakarta on Wednesday (1/3/2023).
The group of students and accompanying lecturers were welcomed by the Deputy Dean for Research, Community Service and Information Systems., Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, S.H., LL.M., M.A., and lecturer staff, as well as FH Public RelationsUGM.
In the activity which was held in the Auditorium of Building B, Faculty of Law, Gajah Mada University, the Coordinator of the Undiksha Legal Studies Program, Ni Putu Rai Yuliartini, S.H., M.H., revealed the purpose of the visit to FHUGM is as a form of comparative study in getting to know the culture of education at FHUGM so that later it is hoped that it will be able to increase the motivation and innovation of Undiksha Law Study Program students which can be passed on to other students after the KKL program is completed.
On this occasion, Jaka delivered material on History, Vision and Mission, Departments, Study Programs, Research Centers, and an introduction to the teaching staff at FHUGM. Apart from that, Jaka also conveyed a deep-rooted educational culture that was applied to all students.
“Every student must be instilled and made to understand the principles, principles, theories, and doctrines law so that it can be actualized at any time so that students are firmly rooted and soar high following the Faculty’s Vision and mission,” he added.
Furthermore, in the question and answer session, one of the students asked about the specializations that are most popular with FH students.
“So far the most popular specialization at FHUGM “dominated by students from the Criminal and Civil Departments, especially participation in criminal competitions such as Philip Jessup and similar competitions in Moot Court Justice Practice which won champion trophies both at the national and international levels,” coordinator of the student activity implementation center, DEMA FHUGM.
Apart from that, one of the lecturers at the Department of Customary Law, also explained the institution’s attention to the mental and physical health issues of students through the University Health Promoting Unit which aims to create a healthy and prosperous campus, so that the entire university community is physically and mentally healthy and ready to contribute fully. in sustainable development.
At the end of the event, Jaka hopes that there will be a follow-up to this meeting, such as the formation of an MoU to establish friendship and good relations between Ganesha University of Education and Gajah Mada University. Apart from that, Jaka also advised that in the future the Head of BEM, Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Undiksha, can continue to collaborate and communicate regarding organizations and others with DEMA FH.UGM.
In closing, this activity ended with a memento presentation session by the Undiksha Legal Studies Program to FHUGM, as well as a group photo of all students participating in the KKL.
