Singaraja- The international-level achievements made by Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) students in 2021 do not stop at the World Science, Environment and Engineering Competition (WSEEC). Positive achievements have been achieved again. This time from the E-NNOVATE International Invention & Innovation Show Poland. The team consists of I Ketut Andika Pradnyana from the Education Technology Study Program (S2), Ni Putu Ayu Pirdayanti from the English Language Education Study Program (S1), Putu Pipit Pricellia Eka Putri from the Law Studies Study Program (S1), Putu Diah Pradnya Paramitha from the Accounting Study Program (S1 ), I Gede Engga Suandita from the Legal Sciences Study Program (S1), and I Made Bagus Alviantara from the Information Systems Study Program (S1). This team won a bronze medal thanks to an innovation called “Intra HerdiC: Indonesian Traditional Herbal Medicine to Stop COVID-19”.
Team Leader Ketut Andika Pradnyana explained that the teams participating in this competition came from 16 countries with 183 innovations. This event took place from 22 to 24 June 2021. He provided a brief review regarding Intra HerdiC innovation. He said this innovation is the creation of traditional herbal medicine which is packaged in a modern way and formulated according to the wishes of millennial children. The Intra HerdiC herbal medicine that is made does not taste bitter because it is mixed with quality real honey. “With this innovation, many people can drink herbal medicine,” he explained.
The creation of this innovation is reflected in the still widespread cases of the spread of Covid-19. He hopes that by consuming herbal medicine regularly, people’s immune systems will increase and be free from attacks by this worldwide virus. “To increase the body’s immunity, we make traditional herbal medicine which is believed to have healing properties for various diseases. “Apart from that, the aim of developing this herbal medicine is to preserve traditional Indonesian drinks and spices,” he explained.
It takes a month of preparation to take part in this event. He and his team, under the guidance of lecturer Dr. Ketut Agustini, S.Si., M.Si tried to show the best work, and in the end, it paid off with a proud achievement. “We are very grateful for the results obtained. From the long preparations to the sudden presentation stage when we were at the airport. We have overcome urgent conditions. “With this result, we are grateful and grateful to all parties who have supported,” he added.
This achievement was appreciated by the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Alumni and Public Relations Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd., for being able to contribute points to university rankings. He also invited students to continue to push for achievements. “What you achieve will also be very useful after graduating,” he said.
It was further stated that the university is ready to assist in product development and product design that has been produced by students, especially those who have already excelled. This will be coordinated with the Institute for Research and Community Service. “We will help with certified products, such as IPR and patents. “The proof is that we already have someone to help take care of it,” he concluded.
