Singaraja – In the context of having a Visiting Professor, the Undiksha Faculty of Law and Social Sciences held a Public Lecture on Wednesday (21/02/24). The public lecture held in the General Seminar Room of the Balingkang Confucius Undiksha Institute had the theme, “China-Indonesia Relations: Belt Road Initiative and Global Ocean Fulcrum”. This public lecture activity was opened by the Dean of FHIS Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nengah Suastika, S.Pd., M.Pd. On this occasion, Prof. I Nengah Suastika welcomed the theme of the public lecture held this time because it could rebuild cooperation between China and Indonesia as maritime countries, especially in the fields of shipping and trade. This activity was also attended by FHIS Undiksha Structural Officials from Deputy Dean I, Prof. Dr. Dewa Gede Sudika Mangku, S.H., LL.M., Deputy Dean III FHIS, Dr. Ketut Sedana Arta, S.Pd., M.Pd., other structural officials and students. Apart from that, this activity was also accompanied by Putu Ayu Prabawati Sudana, S.Pd., M.Hum. as Chair of the UPA Balingkang Confucius Institute. The presentation of the material in this public lecture activity was delivered by Mr. Gou Haodong who is the former Consul General of China Denpasar. Public lecture material presented by Mr. Gou focuses on programs launched by each country, namely China and Indonesia, to develop potential and advance the country by facilitating access to transportation and trade whose scope is global. The relationship between Indonesia and China has been established for a long time, even before the Republic of Indonesia was founded. About the theme raised, the cooperative relationship between Indonesia and China is mutual benefit and mutual need, so far, if there is a conflict of interests between Indonesia and China, it has always been resolved with diplomacy and peace. At the end of the public lecture, Mr. Gou expressed his appreciation because the material he presented was well received.
