Saturday (1/9) HMJ Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKN) held the Opening of the 2018 Civic Education Orientation (CEO) which took place at the Bhuana Kertha Struggle Monument, Panji Village. This event was attended by Lecturer Staff, Student Advisors, and the Chair of HMJ from the PPKN Department. Apart from that, new students from the PPKN Department were involved as participants in the 2018 Civic Education Orientation (CEO). The Civic Education Orientation activity carried the theme, “Creating a Productive, Optimistic, and Responsible Generation”.

This CEO event began with prayers and continued with examining attributes and collecting assignments that had been completed by new students. New students who violate are separated and then taken to the enforcement post. After 2 hours of tense moments at the enforcement post, the new students were directed into the Bhuana Kertha Struggle Monument Building to take part in the opening ceremony.

The opening of 2018 Civic Education Orientation (CEO) was opened directly by Prof. Dr. Sukadi, M.Pd., M.Ed. as the Dean of FHIS UNDIKSHA as well as one of the lecturers in the PPKN Department was marked by giving participant marks to representatives of new students. In his speech, the Dean of FHIS said that this activity aims to increase discipline, closeness, and unity among students of the Pancasila and Citizenship Education Department. “I hope that through the 2018 Civic Education Orientation we will be able to create a generation of students majoring in Pancasila and Citizenship Education who are productive, optimistic, and responsible and will be at the forefront of maintaining national unity and integrity in diversity,” said I Putu Indra Artha Antara as Chair of HMJ Education Pancasila and Citizenship.

The opening event for the 2018 Civic Education Orientation ended with a State Defense Seminar by Prof. Dr. Sukadi, M.Pd., M.Ed. with the theme, “Revitalizing Citizenship Education in the Era of Industrial Revolution 4.0”.
