The Faculty of Law and Social Sciences is one of the faculties at Undiksha which has the vision “Excellence in Research-Based Science and Technology Development Based on the Tri Hita Karana Philosophy in Asia in 2045” and the FHIS mission is to organize educational and learning activities in the fields of social sciences, legal sciences, and social education that are high quality and competitive; Carrying out research activities in the development of social sciences, legal sciences, and social education that are of high quality and competitiveness with Tri Hita Karana insight through coaching and developing quality research human resources; and Organizing and Improving Human Resources Competency in the Field of Community Service with Quality and Tri Hita Karana Insight.

The Department of Law and Citizenship consists of the Undergraduate Study Program in Legal Studies and the Undergraduate Study Program in Pancasila and Citizenship Education.
Pancasila and Citizenship Education Undergraduate Study Program aims to prepare prospective graduates to become educational staff and experts in the field of Civics. Preparing graduates to have high insight and concern for Civics education and education in the broadest sense; have the skills to conduct research and community service based on the Tri Hita Karana ideology; and have high social sensitivity.
Bachelor of Laws Study Programproduce graduates with Legal Science qualifications (S.H.) who are expected to contribute actively in accommodating various legal developments in society, competent in the legal field, professional, and with integrity in the world of work.
The FHIS Learning and Teaching Process is by academic guidelines, FHIS organizes lecture programs with a semester credit unit system, both for theoretical and practical lectures, in the form of direct face-to-face meetings under the guidance of the lecturer in charge, carried out for 14 to 16 weeks for each semester. Deepening of courses outside lecture hours is carried out in the form of responses. Lectures have also been carried out online, supported by expert teaching staff in their fields.
The environment of the Faculty of Social Sciences is very conducive to supporting the teaching and learning process. Interactions and discussions between lecturers and students and students with students have been cultivated so that the knowledge transfer process runs more effectively.
Practical lectures are carried out in laboratories and moot courtrooms and in work opportunities that are relevant to the field of knowledge, namely at school educational institutions, outside schools, government and private institutions within the Ministry of National Education, and outside the Ministry of National Education. Learning activities include classroom lectures, responses, field observations, exercises, and simulations, as well as field practice.
Teaching and learning facilities are also available in full, from clean and beautiful rooms, LCDs in each classroom, laboratories in each study program, and adequate internet access so that it is very easy for students, lecturers, and staff to reach. FHIS also has a library, making it easier for students and lecturers to find references. The FHIS Undiksha administration system has been integrated online so that students can get effective and efficient services.
